Johriaan de Beer, who leads LIS, has 20 years of experience in the design and development of laboratories and was the originator of the very successful “Togatainer”, the first molecular diagnostic laboratory, deployed in Gugulethu, Cape Town, South Africa in 2003.

How we work

Before manufacturing commences, we assist you to formulate customisation that may be required to comply with your local requirements.  This includes spacing considerations or your equipment, electrical load and air conditioning demands.  We also look at the best way to provide maintenance support, be that for the infrastructure or energy systems.  Once the customisation phase is completed, we start manufacturing.

During manufacturing you will receive frequent updates on manufacturing progress, to keep your stakeholders informed.  During this time you will receive site preparation guidelines to prepare for the placement of your unit.  Logistical arrangements will also be finalised for you to receive your unit.

Once delivered at your selected site, we send a commissioning team to install components such as air conditioners, rain canopies and other fittings.
